The fact gaming whilst having a cold meant I was not always in the best frame of mind has meant at times some great frustrations. World of Tanks I will be very glad when I have completed the April missions.

Yesterday I picked out the details such as tools and the canvas covers on the turret so today I started with some light chipping on the sand colour with a suitable green tone. My thinking here is that the real thing would have been supplied in an overall green colour and the sand was added later. I will be adding some lighter chips later to the green itself.
Some darker chips went on next using vallejo I then used a wilder filter, dark brown NL 18 slightly thinned with white spirit followed by a pin wash using wilder deep shadow wash NL Possibly another round of pin washes will be used just to finish it off. Again as this is quite a small model I try not to swamp it with washes and filters but instead use the bare minimum to get subtle effects.
Likewise I won’t be using any oil dot fading on this as there really is only limited areas where this would be effective. Instead I’ll use some streaking and rain marks products to add a little surface interest. Both tracks went into the solution at the same time but they came out different colours! Not what I was looking for and very frustrating.
It means I’ll have to spray the tracks instead.

Also, the matchmaking system often makes teams quite unfair, making one team almost guaranteed to win, while the other has almost no chance to win. In my opinion, the ELC AMX is the most consistently incorrectly played tank in all of WoT, because players fail to adjust to its unique characteristics. Note I use silver ammo only. The most effective method of spotting in the ELC AMX is to find a position that provides you with a good field of view and adjacent hard cover. From such a position, you can spot tanks and fire on them, then pull back behind hard cover until you are invisible, at which point you can spot and shoot again.
If you are spotted after firing, you should immediately pull back behind hard cover until you are no longer spotted. In most cases, the enemy tanks will remain lit during that period.

Historical matchup, obviously this will be good for some of us Historically accurate , situations like reserve pz II meeting the KV1 would obviously narrow that group even more as although it is a historically correct matchup, it would be a very emotive encounter generally.
Of course there are a group that would not want to even entertain this. Performance matchup – vehicle stats alone – some might say this is satisfactory, but in opposition to number 1 above many match-ups would be way of the mark in terms of reasonableness, this would tend to upset the fair balance of some players in game as a good performing vehicle isn’t always easy to fly for example.
Player performance – if we based match-ups on this, although some would welcome it, probably many thinking about, people like me or sim guys would really get annoyed with it. I consider myself a team player rather than a high scorer. So I would in effect be put into games where the teams are less goal orientated random flying or driving about shooting at seagulls.
